Spa Services - A wide variety of spas and spa services can be found all over Playa in a wide variety of settings and price points. My daughter and I have tested most -- here are our favorites.
Spa Itza –
Calle Corazon (about 14th & 5th) – a lovely place that offers a variety of spa services. Be sure to check out the view from the roof and use the sweat "oven." Spa Itza is the place to go for some authentic Mayan treatments as well as more run of the mill pleasures. While not inexpensive, it is decently priced, friendly and professional in a wonderful setting.
Massages – It's hard to walk around Playa and not trip over a massage therapist! I highly recommend taking the time to have a cold drink and a massage at least once during your stay. Our favorite spots are right on the beach between Calle 4-6 and on 5th Avenue between Calles 6 and 8 on either the west or east side (both are great). The prices are unbelievable and we've always had great experiences.
Facials - at one of our favorite massage spots, my daughter gets strawberry yogurt facials that include a really amazing arm massage. The price is right for both services and it's air-conditioned. On 5th Ave. between Calle 6 & 8 on the east side of the street, it is located inside the alleyway for Cafe Meditteranea with a stand on 5th.
